THIRD PARTY SUITES

A GOOD OPTION that you can use is a proprietary Easy Transfer Cable, which plugs into both computer USB sockets, but a cheaper solution, if you own a cable crimper, is to make a cross over cable.
You'll need a couple of metres of Cat 5 cable, two network plugs and the crimper. Normal network cables are designed for connecting PCs to routers or switches and some of the wires have to be crossed over to connect two PC directly together.
Looking from the underside of the network plug - the side showing the golden contacts - imagine the wire slots numbered from one to eight, left to right. Slot the wires in the order shown in the diagram on the right and crimp the plugs on. That's all there is to it.
