Favicon stands for Favorite Icon. It is also known as shortcut icon, Web site icon, URL icon, or bookmarkicon. A favicon is a small icon most commonly 16×16 pixels, which appears at the tab.
The process of changing favicon in most of the site are same and easy unlike the blogger.com. They havetheir own logo but can change it easily according to your choice but the process is a bit different. So follow the steps below to change the favicon in blogger.com
Steps to change the favicon in blogger.com:
1. First of all, create the icon that you want to apply in your blogger page. The icon that you are going to use asfavicon should be of 16×16 pixels. You can use favicon.cc to create a new icon.
2. Now you have to host that icon somewhere in the internet. You can use any image hosting sites for this purpose for example tinypic.com and imageboo.com.
3. Remember that the icon that you are going to add as favicon must be in .ico format.
4. Now login to your blogger account and then click on Setting-> Design –> Edit HTML.
5. Don’t forget to backup the template before making any changes.
6. Now enter the following codes right above the and below
*replace http://www.imageboo.com/files/my_icon.ico with the URL of your own icon.
7. Save your changes.
* This changes will not appear immediately, just refresh it once and it should appear.
