The iPhone 3GS just got incredibly cheaper. According to this IBN-Live report, Aircel announced a price cut and the iPhone 3GS will now be available for 9,999 from the original price of Rs 19,999.
This will put the Apple’s offering in the same league as under Rs 10,000 Android smartphones and RIM’s BlackBerry Curve 9220 which sells for around Rs 10,000.
Aircel subscribers also have the option of paying an additional Rs 3,000 and thus getting access to unlimited data 2G/3G depending for one year for 3G users and 6 months for 2G users. The iPhone 3GS which was launched in 2009, will be getting the latest iOS 6 upgrade in fall this year which means that for users with a budget this could be a very good option to consider.
Key Specifications of the iPhone 3GS include:
• 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 320×480 pixels
• 800MHz Cortex A8 processor under-clocked to 600MHz
