Last month, Samsung sent out invites for the unveiling of the next Galaxy at a special event to be held on August 15th. Rumors indicated that Samsung will finally unveil the long-awaited, rumoured, delayed and upgraded Galaxy Note 10.1. Samsung had originally announced the Note 10.1 at the beginning of this year at MWC, but the tablet had ‘FAIL’ written all over with it a older-generation Tegra 2 processor and a less than stellar display.
Today, Samsung has sent out press invites for another event on August 29th at Berlin, Germany. This pre-IFA event will be live streamed, and the teaser photo accompanied in the email confirms that Samsung will be unveiling the successor to the Galaxy Note, thanks to the S-Pen.
Rumors indicate that the Note 2 will sport a slightly bigger, 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with 720p resolution, and depending on the region of the world, will come with a 1.5GHz Exynos processor or the Snapdragon S4 SoC. It will be interesting to see what all software enhancements Samsung will include in the Note 2 that take advantage of the bundled S-Pen, and will the phablet include any surprising new feature or not.
