How To Hide Your Facebook Status From Selected People

Recently I heard that one girl was made to say goodbye to her studies after she was caught by their parents when she updated her facebook status as widowed when her boyfriend abandoned her. So these days every one must be careful while updating their facebook status. Since the status updates are public by default even robbers can find where you are in your vacations and can rob your house if you are too expressive in social networks. But facebook has given us a chance to hide our status updates from selected people or to show them only to them.

Here is a step by step tutorial on how to hide or show your facebook status updates only to some selected people.

Step1:

Open your facebook home page or your facebook profile from where you normally update your status.

Step 2:

After typing your status ,beside the share button you can find the lock symbol  .Click on the arrow mark.

Step 3:

You can see different groups for which you can only allow to show your status. you can select any thing from them and share your status, which will be shown only to the group selected.

If you want to hide your status from a specific person or a specific list of persons you can even do that. For that you have to select the Customize button at the end of the above list.

Now a popup displays and in that popup you can see the “Hide this from” option which allows you to enter the names of people from whom you want to hide your status updates.Select as many people you want. And you can even set this setting as you default setting if you want.
