According to Susquehanna Financial analyst Chris Caso, iPhone 5 will feature 4-inch display and the production of iPhone 5 will be started around June 2012. The screen size of iPhone 4S is 3.5 inch. The screen size of iPhone 5 will be larger than the screen size of iPhone 4S. It is expected that Apple will not change the display resolution of iPhone 5 in order to avoid fragmentation.
If the display resolution of iPhone 5 will be similar to the display resolution of iPhone 4S then the pixel density of iPhone 5 will be reduced to 290 ppi due to its 4-inch Display. Recently Japanese blog Macotakara has reported that Sony and Hitatchi have started shipping 4-inch screens for iPhone 5. The sources of iLounge has reported that Apple will launch iPhone 5 in the summer of 2012. iPhone 5 will be 8 mm longer than the current generation iPhone. iPhone 5 will come with 10 megapixel camera, faster processor, aluminum back, messed up color profile, Siri named as ‘Assistant’. According to the sources, Apple will use metallic casing in iPhone 5. It is expected that Apple will increase the screen size of iPhone 5 to 4-inch in order to compete with Android phones as the screen size of Android phones are larger than the screen size of iPhone. Recently Business Insider has reported that iPhone 5 was scrapped a few months before the announcement of iPhone 4S and it was existed as a prototype.
