Apple iPad 3 to be announced in March

Apple will announce the launch of the iPad 3 on March 7, and the new tablet computer is expected to support 4G LTE high-speed mobile services, according to reports.

The iPad 3 is expected to come with various enhancements on its predecessor, including a high resolutionRetina Display, a quad-core A6 processor and a larger battery.

“Along with the 2048×1536 Retina display, the iPad 3 will feature a quad-core Apple 6 system-on-a-chip, and possibly 4G LTE networking,” [iMore editor-in-chief Rene] Ritchie said.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the new tablet will also be available in a 4G LTE version, utilising next-generation mobile technology that supports mobile broadband up to 100Mbps and a variety of superfast services.

This fits with previous reports that the announcement will occur in the first full week of March, and then the product will go on sale, most likely in the US, UK and other selected countries, two weeks later.

India is yet to be introduced with 4G technology, so we need to look very far for the release of this devise.
