Windows 8 Unveils on 29th Feb

Microsoft is set to release test version of eagerly awaited Windows 8 on 29th of February 2012 at a hotel inBarcelona. The invitation are sent to Press recently to attend special Windows 8 Customer Preview as part of the Mobile World Congress trade show. The introduction of  beta of Windows 8 will be followed with launch of Windows Store which will offer programs customized for the next-generation operating system.

Microsoft to unveil Windows 8 on Feb 29

The information of launch of Windows Store was out in media in December 2011, which plan to feature third-party applications crafted for computers powered by the Redmond, Washington-based firm’s software.

Its interesting to know that Microsoft chose Mobile World Congress Trade Show for launch of Windows 8, because the major portion of  excitement around Windows 8 has been revolving around Windows 8-based tablets and the touch-centric Metro UI, so its a good strategic move by Microsoft to unveil Windows 8 at an event focused on mobile devices.

Very less information  has been provided on the launch of Windows 8, so till then lets hold on and wait till 29th February and see what Microsoft has in its kitty for us. Microsoft’s Windows unit has witnessed a 6 % dip in sales.
