In the case of best performers, I like the idea of ultrazooms. With optical zoom lenses of 10 and 12x, they can shoot images of objects half a mile away. The Canon PowerShot SX200 IS is the perfect example of such product. A 12 MP camera with 12x zoom that's built so well and is considerably compact at the same time.
