Yes your cell phone can be saved from a prank, mistake or carelessness. Going into rain is not bad when you have a cell phone in your pocketor going to a pool party with friends and one of them push you inside pool or while your kid is playing with it and he try to eat your phone.
We have found some genius tips to save your cell phone from the disaster. Let us know if you have used any of these methods or any other method which worked for you.
1. Putting your cell phone inside a uncooked rice filled bowl as rice absorbs the moisture. Here’s video from Labnol.org showing the way of saving your cell phone from accidents.
2. Using Silica sachet can also prevent the moisture from harming your cell phone. If you’re worried about rice dust getting inside your phone, you can instead use the packets of silica gel that often come stuffed in the pockets of new clothes. But acting fast is far more important than avoiding a little dust, so don’t waste time shopping if you don’t already have a drawer full of silica gel. via : PopularMechanics
3. Use a vacuum cleaner if possible. If you want to try and suck the liquid out of the inner parts of the phone, try using a vacuum cleaner. Remove all residual moisture by drawing it away with a vacuum cleaner held over the affected areas for up to 20 minutes, in each accessible area (take it in turns with a friend). This is the fastest method and can completely dry out your phone and get it working in thirty minutes. via Wikihow
4. Freshwater rinse - Did you drop your phone in salt water? The salt can corrode your device. So after you pull out the battery and SIM card, immerse your phone in fresh water to rinse out the salt. via Yahoo
5. Try putting the phone in the refrigerator. This may sound strange because most of us associate heat with the drying process. Actually the refrigerator cools things by drawing moisture out of things. Do not put the phone in the freezer as this can damage the LCD (Liquid crystal display) After 30 minutes or so, take it out for about 10 minutes, and repeat until the phone is dry
