Recently, I receive an Email from one of the industry leading search engine optimization services company…..Links Management…that they are offering a buy quality backlinks services ranging from $1 per month for PR1 pages to over $250 for PR8 actual pages per month.
At first I was excited and feel the excitement of getting to top 10 of Google for my target keywords; at least I can speed my way up the ladder quickly for now.
But come to think of it…does it worth it buying links in other to achieve top ten ranking for your desire keywords in Google search engine? Considering the fact that these links may not stay permanently on the pages they are placed…because you have to continue the subscription each month to get these links intact.

Despite Google stands on such link building practices, marketers still engage in this black hat SEO practice. Google has over and over made it clear that natural link building tactics is the way forward for webmasters and SEO’s alike. Despite this, I understand why someone will go ahead and buy quality backlinks.
In all honesty- am not soliciting for buying of links – but in reality, it takes too long to acquire quality backlinks that can boost your search engine ranking, especially if you’re nobody as at when you’re getting started online.
You have to start from blog commenting, social bookmarking of your posts, forum signature and posting, to aggressive guest blogging etc. All these things takes time to yield the expected results. And if you’r not lucky enough…many of the links placed in all these places may appear to be no-follow.
One of the major reasons many internet marketer took to buying of quality links to gain high visibility in search engines and speed up their progress level. And as long as links remain one of the major factors that determine how web pages are rank in search engines…..there will always be needs to game the system.
Many internet based businesses have fallen under the hammer of the Big “G” both in the past and recent years due to buying and selling of links or excessive link exchange practices.
Lets see some of the reasons why anyone would consider buying of links.
- To increase search engine ranking.
- To rank top for target keywords.
- To scale years of hard labor.
- To speed up the progress level of his blog.
- Control over the anchor text and where the links are placed.
- You pay for it so you get it – faster than begging for links.
- No rejection or fear of being turn down.
- Depending on how lucrative your target keywords are, you’re likely to generate higher revenue due to increase in targeted organic traffic.
Some of the negative side of buying links.
- You’re going against Google terms and condition.
- Your website may get penalized.
- Your website may also temporary removed or in some severe cases completely de-index from Google search engine.
- You’re limited to your financial capability.
- You risk over optimized anchor text.
- In some cases, you get low quality pages linking to you.
- Your traffic may drop significantly if Google suspect fowl play.
The list is endless.
All in all, I won’t recommend you go the way of buying backlinks in other for your blog to gain high ranking in search engines, it is never a good SEO practices.
Though, like I pointed out above…and as we’ve seen in the past and will discover in the future…many big brands you’re hearing of today gain a very good percentage of links pointing towards their pages through this means, i.e….they buy quality backlinks from smooth criminals SEO companies.
And the worse of this scenario is that the transaction done between these top players concerning purchasing of links are kept secret and very confidential. The SEO company that take charge of their link building strategies are not allowed to disclose their involvement to the public.
The worse place to buy quality backlinks.
I deliberately used the word “quality” above, because that’s what they claim they’re offering over at fiverr. I never can imagine any SEO’s professional with good quality backlinks profile at his custody will offer to sell PR5 Penguin save 25 quality backlinks for $5 or $10.
Considering the enormous task it takes to achieve PR5, such gigs automatically translate to a waste of money and definitely the seller will only spam forums and low quality websites with your keywords.
Well, there maybe a couple of good seller there, but I just don’t think is save to trust such job with people in such places. Instead, if you “MUST” buy quality backlinks to boost your search ranking, then do business with those who knows and understand what is like to get penalize by Google for paying for links.
The SEO companies who understand the terrain you’re trading…will know how to make sure things are done perfectly without leaving any footprint.
I’ll like to hear your opinion on this…have you buy quality backlinks either in the past or present for your business blog? Or are you planning to buy links in the future?
Would love to here from you...
