After unveiling smartphones under its new Galaxy A and E series, it appears Samsung is all set to introduce Galaxy J-series, a new budget range of phones.
The first phone in the series would be Galaxy J1 (SM-J100) according to a report by Sam Mobile.
As per the website, the Samsung Galaxy J1 will feature a 5MP and 2MP rear and front-facing cameras, and a 4.3-inch WVGA display, and will be powered by a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Marvell PXA1908 processor with 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, and an 1,850mAh battery.
It will reportedly come in single-SIM LTE, dual-SIM LTE, single-SIM 3G, and dual-SIM 3G, variants and the 3G variants will feature a VGA front camera. It would run Android 4.4 KitKat. The budget phone is set to be introduced in the coming weeks.

Sam Mobile has also uploaded stock wallpapers from the phone's software. The Android 4.4 firmware of the phone is also available online.
It would be interesting to see how Samsung prices the phone given that its recent offerings, Galaxy A5 and A3 are priced higher than phones from rival players.
